Mike Pero was instrumental in establishing the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association (NZMBA), formed in 1997. The association was created to uphold high professional standards and a code of ethics. In 2012 the NZMBA was amalgamated to form the Professional Adviser Association (PAA) which in 2018, become Financial Advice New Zealand, created by three founding bodies – the PAA, IFA and NZFAA. furthering the already comprehensive level of support and expertise provided to the Mike Pero Advisers.

Financial Advice New Zealand plays a key role in supporting the development of a dynamic finance industry. With over 1,200 members and $2.5 million in assets, the association provides a range of services and an expert industry voice for finance advisers working in investment, insurance and mortgages.
